The St. Louis Recorder Society

For each of the last several years, SLURS has sponsored a recorder workshop.

Workshop clinicians have been some of the best recorder teachers and virtuosi in North America. Among them were Sue Carduelis, Scott Patterson, Patrick O'Malley, Frances Blaker, Clea Galhano, Lisette Kielson, and Tom Zajac.

This year, SLURS will be sponsoring some workshop events in conjunction with Clea Galhano's encore appearance with The Kingsbury Ensemble here in St. Louis, the weekend of April 4.

And of course, SLURS welcomes the American Recorder Society Festival and Conference to St. Louis next Summer, July 30-August 2, 2009. The festival will consist of four days of workshops, lectures, and concerts with an outstanding faculty including Louise Austin, Annette Bauer, Tish Louis Carslake, Mark Dvenport, Clea Galhano, Lisette Kielson, Judith Linsenberg, nina Stern, Leslie Timmons, Jim Tinter, Marion Verbruggen, and Mary Halverson Waldo, and the Farallon Recorder Quartet.
